Lyminge Parish encompasses the villages of Lyminge, Etchinghill and part of Rhodes Minnis and lies within the Kent Downs National Landscape.* The villages offer a host of amenities to residents and tourists as well as having a rich history, a diverse and ancient natural environment and many beautiful walking routes, including the Elham Valley Way and the Royal Saxon Way, and the new Royal Kentish Camino launched in 2024, that pass through the parish.
The council is committed to protecting and improving the area of Lyminge Parish, defining our activities and focusing our efforts through four key aspects that together make our community what it is today: the built, natural, social and historic environments.
*Formerly known as Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB)
